What is the GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation?
It is a European Union (EU) regulation on data protection and privacy that applies to all organisations processing the personal data of EU citizens. In the UK, it replaces the Data Protection Act (1998) and comes into force on 25th May 2018.
What are you doing about GDPR?
Our central services partner TOGIP has been busy preparing for the new regulation after a significant review of our data. This preparation has included: a full review of the way we process personal data, providing dedicated GDPR training to all employees, temporary/contract staff and appointing a Data Protection Officer.
What will happen to my existing communication permissions and preferences?
Your existing preferences will remain the same, you can change these preferences on request by contacting our service centre firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will there be any changes to our software?
We will update you to any changes that have been made to your software as they happen. These updates will provide explanations as to why the changes are being made, and how they affect you.
Have my rights changed?
